Does this attach to a normal DPMS High Height Upper with standard barrel nut? Or is this strictly for the "Aero Precision Enhanced Upper"? — 2 Answers

This will fit any DPMS or ArmaLite upper receiver depending on which barrel nut you choose. These are High Profile (.210" tang) handguards. For a DPMS patter upper receiver, you would need barrel nut APRH308910 on this page: https://www.opticsplanet.com/aero-precision-m5e1-handguard-barrel-nut.html

This is quoted from the Aero Precision website for this product. "Our handguards use either the DPMS/Aero or Armalite interface and do not work with a standard barrel nut. If you are using our M5E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver, no additional pieces are needed." Then it goes on to sell you the proper nut.
