The maximum detection distance will depend on several environmental factors (ambient temp, humidity, etc.). It will also be dependent on how hot and how large the heat source you are looking for is. We found that with a man size target, in our testing environment, the maximum detection range is about 50 yards.
Our apologies on the last answer! It truly does have a 50 HZ refresh rate, small typo. Thanks guys!
The AGM ASP Micro TM160 has a detection range of 350 yards and a recognition range of 175 yards. The biggest difference will be our 50 HZ display, with a 35 milikelvin heat sensor. Along with onboard recording, wifi, and a range of different color palettes.
You may not see the pistol or what they are holding but you will see the man/woman
You can upgrade by going up to our AGM TAIPAN TM-10 256! There are firmware updates available but no way to necessarily "upgrade"
Yes absolutely up to about 100 yards away or so give or take
No, this is meant to be a handheld unit.

About 100-200 yards, give or take and depending on how covered the coyote is.
You can really use most USBC's to charge the unit with any box/adapter
