It will work with .223 or 5.56, also it will work with .300 aac (300 blackout). Just make sure of the chamber of your barrel. 5.56 and .223 wylde can shoot either round, .223 can only shoot .223
they are the same doesn't matter between 5.56 or 223 only the barrel matters between the 2
