What is the operation time on a single charge and how much of an extension is provided by the optional external power source?

The Prometheus has a 3 hour run time at 68 degrees F. The use of an extended power supply will add up to 3.5 - 7 hours of additional run time, depending on the type of batteries being used.

What does demo mean? And does this come with everything it needs to go to work?

No, this product is a thermal monocular, not a rthermal iflescope, and is not designed to be used on a firearm.
