For the Zeus Pro models, Armasight lists maximum recoil Resistance as
"0.50 BMG weapon shock and recoil".

If your 640 (30 hz) thermal is shutting off every time you shoot, check the batteries. This happened to me when I was messing around with the AA battery pack and CR123 pack. The CR123 pack is the most solid/secure but installing it slightly wrong will cause it to turn off every shot. The AA pack is a tad worse. But the tighter you screw in the pack the more it won't rattle or vibrate during shooting. The batteries seem right when you install them but sometimes it takes another turn or 2 to tighten it snug enough to handle shock. If it's turning off on shots then it's definitely power (battery pack) related. Everything else is solid in this unit. Very high quality soldering and chip layout. If you can't diagnose it, get a RMA repair from Armasight and pay the warranty or fee associated with fixing it. I just had my 100mm lens replaced after the AR coating flaked off and they do great repair work.
