The Sig 516 factory buffer weight should be an "H." You can use other buffer weights but it is up to the user to determine the appropriate buffer weight for your rifle and how it's set up (suppressed, sbr, pistol calibers, etc).

For piston guns I use the heaviest buffers. Pistons seem to have more force backwards. I normally use 5.6 oz 9mm buffers in my pistons. With mil spec and quality ammo I have no issues and it shoots smoother. So, for this buffer I’m going w the heavier spring
