The Athlon Optics Argos 8-34 x 56 mm Rifle Scope is shockproof and should retain zero with most calibers. Email us at Techsales@opticsplanet.com for more information as this can depend on what caliber and rifle you intend to mount this scope too.

To mount the Athlon Optics Argos 8-34 x 56 mm Rifle Scope to your Remington 700, you can use a picatinny scope base paired with 30mm scope rings, or a scope base with integrated rings like the DNZ Products Rifle Scope Mounts (high height) found by using the link below:

Can you use a 20 moa rail with this scope at a 100 yards ?

Manufacturer Answer

Answered by Athlon Optics, Manufacturer from KS, United States, on October 06, 2021

This scope provides 45 MOA of total elevation travel. Theoretically, you should have 22.5 up and 22.5 down, making this appropriate for 20 MOA rails. In real world scenarios, that is not always the case since every firearm can naturally shoot higher or lower than the next. If you are looking for a long range optics. I would advise you to look at the 6-24x50 Argors BTR GEN2 as it has 60 MOA of travel and typically, most shooters are not running over 15-20x magnification for shots out past 1,000 yards.

You'll need to take into account your stock and barrel profile to determine the correct ring height. I would suggest measuring correctly to determine the best fit. Follow this guide to determine fit for any gun. https://athlonoptics.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Ring-Height-Quick-Guide.pdf

As for the rail, i would stick with a picatinny either 0 MOA for close range or 20 MOA of cant if you plan on long range shooting
