Can this scope be mounted on a rimfire .22lr? Or will it damage the scope?

Absolutely. � percent recommend for .22 rifle. I have one on a 10/22 with Volquartzen carbon barrel and they shoot lights out!

How tall from the top of the tube does the elevation turret go? I am thinking of buying this for my ar and piggybacking a red dot at 12 o’clock.

its kinda tall, i had to get a riser plate for my rmr to be viewed over the top turret. didn't negatively affect the shooting experience at all
