The unit has internal rechargeable batteries and yes those are included. If you are referring to the extended battery pack, ACMUBAT160, it comes standard in the OPMOD version but not the regular version.

Yes, it is an internal rechargeable battery. However, rechargeable batteries do become weaker over time. I have written ATN to see if the battery can be replaced by the use or the unit has to be sent back to the factory.
