The TICO 6 is capable of detecting a human sized target at up to 1,500 meters, so 200 to 300 yards is well within its range.
It is worth noting that thermal is a detection technology, meaning range performance will vary depending on the size of the target. For hog or coyote hunting, you can expect strong detection ranges, though identification ranges will be shorter.
