The 3-14 would probably be better for that. The 5-20x85 is a lot of magnification for 25-200 yards. You would only really need the 20 times magnification if you were shooting out past 500 yards frequently. If you're mounting it on a 5.56/.223, unless you have a gun specifically set up to shoot past 500 yards (1:8 or 1:7 barrel twist, heavier ammo, etc) the 3-14x85 should be more than enough.

the 3x14 will give you a wider point of view. So if if your hunting a group of hogs you might be able to find your targets more quickly. The 5x20 would get you more upclose to your target. I chose the 5x20 for my hunting.
