They are made for rifled barreled slug shotguns.

I understand it’s for rifled barrels, but it can safely be shot from a smooth - correct?
Is there a quick way of knowing which slug rounds are better in smooth or rifled?
I know it’s not good to use a rifled slug in a rifled barrel, any other concerns? Thx
