Yes, I bought it for exactly that purpose. This specific wrench was recommended on a website by a Daniel Defense employee. From this picture, the compensator wrench is on the left side of the wrench. It is the 3 nubs that stick out perpendicular from the wrench itself. The nubs fit neatly into the channels on the outside of the compensator. It takes some effort to remove the compensator. From what I have read, DD only torques this compensator on the DDM4 PDW - nothing else is used to secure or adhere it to the barrel. That was true for mine. This may change. Make sure you research how to remove it. There are many brands, but I used a Real Avid AR-15 Lug-Lock Upper Vise Block to protect the upper while in the vise and being torqued. It was fairly easy once I applied enough force to loosen the compensator.
