no this is for ar15 receiver sets. this would work with the M4 and M4E1 receivers. I have all aero receiver sets the M5E1 and M4E1 sets for my builds. you wanna look into the phase 5 ambi bolt catch or "bad lever" for your M5 build. I have one of those on my Aero M5E1 .308 it works great!
