Almost all speed ring type crossbow scopes don't allow you to change your magnification, once sighted in ur stuck on that magnification. I don't understand why even have the magnification and not just a speed ring. Because I'm going to want a lower magnification at close range and more at a longer ranger regardless if my crossbow shoots 300 fps or 420 fps. So it's sorta false advertising calling them variable magnification when u can't utilize it. So in my opinion a "speed ring" scope that has magnification you cant use is as useless as tests on a boat hog. From my research if you want accuracy and be able to zoom in at a further range you should go with the HHA optimizer for crossbows and top it with a decent variable power scope. It allows you to use a single reticle scope which is awesome. Rant over
