The rectangular footprint can protect just the tent floor on all three of those models. The other “oddly” shaped footprint covers both the extended and short vestibule floors, and the tent floor of the bike pack and hotel models. You can fast fly all three models with either footprint but the extended side will stick out on non-hotel/bike pack models when using the larger footprint.
