Says with side focus and shows without side focus.???????????

Manufacturer's frequently only send us one image for an entire product line, so our images are not always of the exact item. This particular scope DOES have the side parallax adjustment.

What mount setup would you recommend for a Ruger Precision 17hmr?

To mount the BSA Optics Sweet .17 6-18x40mm Rifle Scope on a Ruger Precision Rimfire you could use a 1" diameter cantilever mount or 1" diameter rings. If you are going to use two piece rings I recommend using medium height rings for that rifle. Is this scope rated for magnum air rifles with a reverse recoil?

No, this scope is specifically designed for the .17 HMR and .20 caliber rifles.

The parallax adjustment is 10 yards to infinity.
