Yes, the Burris Veracity 3-15x58 mm Rifle Scope will handle the recoil of a 300 WBY Magnum just fine.

What height of rings on a Tikka T3X Superlight?

I just completed installing a scope on my T3X superlight stainless 4x16x44.DNZ 1 piece Medium. There is about 1/8th inch clearance between scope bell and barrel..perfect for me. Specs show 58 mm bell on this Veracity. Personally I would likely go high rings to ensure no scope/barrel contact. Am real happy with my DNZ mount. No pic. rail. Nick.,hope that's of some help..good luck.Tom

Does it have lens coatings that pass IR light well and hold up to the kick from a 30-06?

This scope will handle the .30-06 cartridge with zero issues. Regarding the optics coatings:

would this need medium or high rings?

Medium will work on most bolt action rifles, however if you want to run flip up scope caps on it, you would probably need high.

will this scope focus to your eyes. I wear prescription lenses and don't like to use them when I shoot.
