tri pod adapter ?????

There is no port anywhere on this unit to mount a Tri Pod, I simply purchased a Binocular plate mount with 1/4 20 receiver on the bottom, there are several on the market for exactly this... Problem solved and rather inexpensive also!!!!!!

How far will these Binoculars range a prairie dog?

It depends on weather conditions. Bushnell specifications list a range of 10 - 1,760 yards ranging performance.
