Battery life is approximately 15000 hours. You should not have to re-zero when changing reticles.

Yes, this product can use 1" diameter rings. The main tube diameter is 28mm

I'm assuming this is going on a flat top AR - extra-high rings will provide the proper height. The 203M from Warne would be a good choice.
