I have a Glock 22 gen 3 but the slide has curved grooves rather than straight. Is there a way to adapt to the curved grooves? — 4 Answers

It should still work, you can always contact the manufacture as well.

This is Sciodad responding to my own question about the CAA MCK for the Glock 22. The manufacturer said that I would have to somehow adapt the slide adapter to the curved grooves in my slide. I did so by cutting and filing off the grooves on the inside of the adapter. Without doing so the adapter would bulge out sideways. I also have after market sights that are too large for the opening in the top of the adapter. I used the old style adapter and added plastic pieces to build it up to get rid of the slop. There was more to it than that but I don't see a way to upload pictures. Anyway, after a few tries it is now functioning perfectly. I really love the conversion kit. It is a quality piece of equipment that makes for a very stable shooting platform.

For my MCK I purchased the metal charging handle from CAA that replaces the rear slide plate with a plate that a metal charging handle screws into. I had the same issue as you as I have some other than OEM slides. You will have to remove the plastic charging handle from the MCK but I find this works so much better if you run different ornate slides. It takes the fitment/guess work out of installing your pistol. Read the instructions first but it gets easier after a couple tries. I also tend to keep dedicated pistols for the conversion kits. Hope this helps you out. Cheers!

Did you buy your gun used? Sounds like your OEM slide might have been replaced with an aftermarket slide. My guess is that the curved grooves will prevent your gun from locking into the MCK.
