There is no accurate way to determine life span as it completely depends on the water you are filtering. If it is relatively clean water that does not need any serious filtration then it could last 100's of liters, but if you are filter extremely dirty/contaminated water this will drastically reduce the life span.

According to Camelbak: "Purifies water for a minimum of 50 reservoir fills (150L), when tested to P248."
This spec is on the package.
