The 8 round extension is 8.25 inches long and weights .55 ounces according to Choate Tool.

Will the 10 rd magazine extend beyond the barrel of the Winchester super x?

It would depend on the length of the barrel. The 10 round extension is 14.25 inches long.

Choate Tool recommends the 7 round extension, part number CMT-05-04-02 for the 18 inch barrel.

Just purchased 7 shot Choate Ext for my S&W Model 3000. The kit does not come with a FOLLOWER. Do I use the existing S&W follower?
