No, these are just for the AR-15 rifles.

What is the benefit of flat wire?

Usually flat wire springs stop the "twang" sound when you fire the rifle.

yes- the 40 coil is for a rifle length buffer tube

I got the 40 coil. It doesn't want to fit in the carbine buffer tube I have. Any help?

The 40 coil is for a rifle length buffer tube. The 36 coil is for the carbine length.
