I believe that 1:10 and 1:12 are the most common twist rates for .308 caliber barrel.

CMMG does not state the weight of the CMMG, Inc 308 Win Barrel Sub-Assembly. I recommend contacting CMMG for that information.

What is the length of the gas system? And will this fit the aero precision m5?

I cannot see which barrel length you are referring to, but the listings show the gas system length for each individual barrel. Yes, these are compatible with the Aero M5.
