Will this work on a m&p 15-22? I have an “ar2 fostech trigger”? If I buy a cmmg .22lr upper do I need this sear trip kit to use the same trigger?

The CMMG, Inc Auto Sear Trip And Anti -Bounce Weight Kit, .22 ARC will not work with a M&P15-22.

There is no weight kit in the picture just the forward assist adapter. I think some one thinks it a weight kit when it is not. Is there a weight?

The part that you are mistaking for a forward assist adapter is actually made of steel and is the weight portion of the kit

It's meant to be used with CMMG 22LR AR15 conversion for those who have a full auto or select fire lower.
