this is a battel ready sword, it is sharp and made from 1090 high carbon steel with a good temper, it will take and hold a edge, have 10 plus battel ready swords and several from cold steel, they all have held up to cutting and use, have not had any problem with any of them. you can use a solvent to remove the bluing and with a buffer and some metal polish give them a nice polish sword look, that what did

the sword is battle ready and sharp, its not as sharp as some of cold steels other swords, but it is 1090 high carbon steel with a good temper, it will take and hold a edge believe me. is about as good of usable sword you can find for the price, ive owned about 12 battle ready swords and have 4 from cold steel, they all have been well built and held up after use, you can remove the black coating and polish the blade to give it a classic sword look as well
