No, however this holster has a tapered muzzle end which keeps the firearm from sliding too far into the holster.

Would a M&P Shield .45 fit securely in thin this holster

This holster is for full size pistols, the S&W Shield would most likely be too small, it will be loose and could potentially fall out.
