Does this holster secures your pistol from sliding down further into the holster? Does it hace a band to wrap underneath the pistol hoster

No, however this holster has a tapered muzzle end which keeps the firearm from sliding too far into the holster.

No, this is only available in a right-hand configuration.

Would a M&P Shield .45 fit securely in thin this holster

This holster is for full size pistols, the S&W Shield would most likely be too small, it will be loose and could potentially fall out.
