CTS-1500 is only sold to firearms manufacturers to be included with certain firearms purchases.
CTS-1500 was never available as a separate item.
I have never found any functional difference between it and the CTS-1550 other than availability.

The CTS-1500 is the currently factoru-installed red dot on the Kimber Mako R7 OI and has a 5 MOA red dot. It is not available in aftermarket or from CT. The CTS-1550 is widely available everywhere and has a 2.5 MOA DOT. In my opinion a 2.5 MOA dot is a better choice for EDC and self-defense!
