As long as your S&W J frame 638-2 is a round butt frame this LG-350 Lasergrip will fit. It will not fit the square butt frame.

I have a S&W gov. #160410. Will this grip work?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Ethan C., Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on February 16, 2018

These will not fit as the Governor is larger than a J-Frame (it's a Z-Frame which is a stretched version of their N-Frame), however Crimson Trace confirms that these will fit instead: https://www.opticsplanet.com/crimson-trace-lasergrip-for-smith-amp-wesson-k-l-frame-round-butt-lg306.html
