With this pin style I’d like to know if they are detent and springless design. Or do I still need a spring and detent. — 1 Answer

Yeah no detent no spring needed. It screws together. And although it says not to use tools or over tighten, that is exactly what I’ve done with mine to make up for the slop that has occurred that required these pins in the first place. And they work great. Upper and lower are tight and open smooth.
