Actually, you can use this with a folding stock adaptor. It is NOT DI only. It can work with a bufferless upper with a 1913 rail. In fact, this is exactly what I plan to do once I receive mine. So, no, there is no reason.

Patrick you really should stop answering peoples questions. No this will not work. Folding stocks can only work with gas piston ARs that do not use buffers or tubes this stock is designed so the existing buffer tube works as the top support. It is directly impingement only !

Bought this to work with a lower receiver that has the folding adapter built into it and the threaded portion is not long enough to hold the buffer tube detent down.
