You only need to consider large pins with Colt manufactured AR-15s, but unfortunately this isn't uniform. Multiple trigger manufacturers state that, in general, AR-15 rifles produced before 1991 and after late 2009 accept small pins while those made between 1991 and late 2009 typically take large pins. You'll need to measure to be certain.
