Does this work with a standard AKM parts kit or at least work with standard AKM barrel components?

These barrels are based on Russian/Romanian pattern specs and should be compatible with Russian or Romanian AKM parts kits. Individual parts or kits from other countries of manufacture may not be compatible (Yugo, Hungarian, Chinese, etc.)

Several questions. 1. Is the twist rate really 1:8? AKMs are 1:10 or 1:9.5. This 1:8 twist makes me think you are selling an 18" AR barrel.

Yes, the twist rate on this barrel is in fact 1:8. It was designed specifically for better bullet stabilization when shooting longer ranges out of an AKM.
