Would this be a direct fit for the ruger American 6.5 creedmoor?

No, this barrel is designed for DPMS Gen 1 pattern AR rifles and will not fit the Ruger American bolt action rifles.

Barrels are not pattern-specific, only the receivers, barrel nuts, and handguards are patter-restricted. The barrel itself will work for either.
