I shoot 55, 62, and 75gr. 5.56 rounds. Is the twist rate ideal at 1:8 and not 1:7, though Faxon states enhanced performance for heavier rounds? — 1 Answer

The 1:8" twist will fully stabilize bullets from 45 grain to 85 grain in weight. This gives excellent performance from both common 55 grain loads as well as heavier 68, 77 or 80 grain loads.
