Yes, the Franklin Armory BFSIII HK-C1 Trigger - Binary Firing System for HK 91/93/MP5 should work with the HK MP5 22LR.
Directly from FA. This will NOT work in the HK MP5 22LR.
Does not work with .22lr
I just bought both because of this answer. It is wrong.
You can NOT use the Franklin binary trigger on the HK MP5 22LR (made by umarex)
The trigger group is totally different. Maybe you can get a standard semi HK 91/93/MP5 trigger group to work in the HK MP5 22LR umarex and convert that?
But with the stock umarex parts and this kit, will NOT work. Not even close enough to try. umarex is totally different.
If anyone figures out a way to do this, please post a link to a video or a parts list & instructions. I want it to happen.
Hi Mike: The Franklin Armory BFSIII HK-C1 trigger WON'T fit a Umarex MP5 chambered in .22 LR. That firearm does not use HK style trigger packs, which is required in order to work in an HK style platform. Franklin Armory would need to contract with Umarex to develop an entire new firing system for it to function with the MP5 .22 LR clone.
I reached out to Franklin Armory with this exact question and was told no, it will not work on the MP5 22LR. The exact response:
"Unfortunately, the HK MP5 22lr made by Umarex is not compatible with our HK-C1 trigger."
If someone knows this to be false, I would greatly appreciate learning that.
