I just spoke with Shane at GG&G; he confirmed that this part will work on the Benelli M4. He stated that they assign it a different sku on the GG&G website because they sell a package that includes the M3 charging handle. The 1030 part number is the for the release button only, and is compatible with the M1, M2, M3 & M4 shotguns.

Yes just installed on my m4. Exact same length lever and everything looks identical

Yes, they buy the original part from the factory and replace the small button with the rectangular pad. That’s why the pad is a little angled. There is an extra pin and spring in the package, I used the original ones.

Mike B.: That's interesting because when I purchased this item you OP had "M4" listed in title. No wonder there's a gap between the bolt release and the shotgun. I'll be calling OP tomorrow to return this.

No, this only fits the M1 SUPER 90, M2, AND M3.
