Should fit just fine on any standard Milspec ar.

Doesn't fit at all. The duck tail section doesn't allow the buttstock to slide all the way on. You would have to modify the buttstock

The Hera butt stock does not fit tightly to an Aero Precision M5 AR10 308 lower receiver. There is approximately a 3-4 mm gap between the two. Is there a filler piece made for this purpose?

Fitment is a very good concern since there is no "Mil-Spec" for large frame LR-308/AR-10 format. This is designed for DPMS Gen 1 LR-308 lowers so it should not have any issues on either early AP (pre-2009) or late AP (post-2009) M5 lowers. Will not fit M5E1 which is Gen2 based lower.
