I have an older model 77 with the tang safety behind the bolt. will this stock fit that older model.

Unfortunately we do not produce a stock designed for the older Tang Safety models.

Need it for right handed 270 cal, will this model work on my rifle?

As long as the rifle is either a Ruger 77 Mk II or Hawkeye with a standard taper barrel, yes this stock will fit.
