I would recommend reading the ammunition guidelines in your users manual, as it should work, but it is always good to check with the manufacture.

This ammo is Hornady 17 HMR ammo. The HMR in the cartridge name 17 HMR stands for "Hornady Magnum Rimfire". So the magnum is referring to the actual name of the cartridge.
