Yes, but ideally from a rifle. Full house .44 Mag like this ammo will not experience severe drop until well after 100 yards, and being a big bore makes large wound channels and penetrates deeply. Though maybe you should consider soft points or hard cast

No, this will not be the correct ammunition. The .44 Auto Mag uses .44 AMP (Auto Mag Pistol) ammunition.

yes the 240 grain hornady custom is a great round but the 300 grain in same ammo custom if can take the recoil stops them in there tracks to 150 yards
