Absolutely not. They are 2 completely different calibers. 6mm Remington was designed in 1963 to replace the 244 Remington that was designed in 1955. Shoots bullets up to 100gn. You won’t find them but it is possible to shoot vintage .244 Remington cartridges in a 6Rem. It is a good round though. (There is also such a thing as a 6mm Bench Rest Remington which is also different and shorter than the 6Rem). Maybe try Brownells or Midway or your local gunshop can maybe source.
