Can this Hornady Superperformance 12 gauge 300 be used in a smooth barrel shotgun

The Hornady Superformance 12 Gauge 300 Grain MonoFlex Slug 2.75" Shotgun Slug Ammunition is designed specifically for use in rifled barrels. It could fire in a smooth bore barrel shotgun if you have a compatible choke but may not perform as well.

I am an 80 year old hunter using a rifled 12 ga shotgun - I have 25 rounds of the 300 gr full load, the recoil is too severe for me.

The description says for use in fully rifled barrels, but can it be used with a rifled choke tube with better results/accuracy than rifled slugs?
