I own this mount and yes, it is completely universal to right or left side. I don't know why one answer said it's not. As soon as I got it, I tried it both left and right and it works both ways. I know you would never need to, but you could run it Left-Forward, Right-Forward, Left-Rear, or Right-Rear facing. It is completely omnidirectional.
