These are the AR-15 springs for .223/5.56 (as well as similar calibers such as .300 Blackout). You can find the .308 version here: https://www.opticsplanet.com/jp-enterprises-308-tuned-and-polished-buffer-spring.html
These are the AR-15 models, the version ending in 308 is for AR-10/AR-308 rifles.
The JP Enterprises Tuned And Polished Buffer Spring is a chrome silicone spring.
That is correct, you would use the rifle spring, and a rifle length buffer.
This spring would be considered an improvement over milspec.
MPN: JPS-OSC is the carbine length model for 223/556.
As long as everything else is correct, there shouldn’t be a problem. In other words, if it would function with a standard spring then swapping it out for the JP equivalent shouldn’t cause any issues. There are caveats for anything, but this is generally correct.
If you’re building your own pistol then do your homework because buffer weight is important given your gas system/barrel length/caliber/etc. Plenty of variables.
