Can this be used to mount a sig romeo 5 on a Mossberg 940?

If the receiver of your Mossberg 940 is drilled and tapped to the same specifications as the Mossberg 500 then the KE Arms Aimpoint Micro Mount could be used to mount the Sig Romeo5.

will this also fit a Mossberg Mav88?

Not without additional machining. The 88 receiver isn't drilled and tapped for optics.
