If you have the standard GI sights with the staked front sight and narrow rear sight, these sights will not work. These sights are meant for novak style dovetail 1911's. You will need to verify what exact type of sights your 1911-A1 has, but it will likely not work as the 1911-A1 I am familiar with uses GI style sights.
