It looks nice but why would you want a copper core? Isnt copper a softer metal? Wouldnt it be more likely to warp, brake or otherwise tear up? — 1 Answer

Icon Defense Tru Core brakes (shell and core) are made from 303 Stainless Steel. The "copper" is a copper PVD coating applied to the brake core. The outer shell is coated in black nitride.
