Will this fit over a gen 1 Sig 516 that has the bayonet lug on the gas block — 2 Answers

This is meant to mount to a standard Sig 516 and replace the factory handguard. The extended model will fit around the gas block while the shorter model will fit behind the gas block. Carbine length is 7.25 inches while Extended is 13.1 inches.

The extend length hand guards from Lancer for Sig 516 and 716 will not fit over gas blocks that have the attached bayonet lug. The lugs will need to be removed or grinned down to fit
